Frankie J. Malone, 67 of Virginia Beach was surrounded by the love of his family at his bedside when he went peacefully to be with the Lord on August 5, 2022 after his battle with lung cancer. Left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 46 years, Susan, their 2 daughters Jennifer and Krystal, 4 grandchildren and 2 sons in-law, Mike Corso and Israel Mendoza as well as many family members who live on the same street, his brother Ronnie in Virginia Beach, and his extended family in TN and FL. Preceding him in death include his mother, father and step-father and his sister Mary. Frankie will be remembered as a loving, hard-working family man who enjoyed carpentry and teaching others his craft. As a United States Veteran, he served his country in the Navy Seabees in the 1970s. He continued his service to his country in the Navy Reserves. He moved on to build a fulfilling and successful 40-year career at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA, retiring in 2017. In his retirement, he enjoyed a simple life spending time with his 4 grandchildren, reading about history, grilling, and deep-sea fishing. To honor and celebrate his life, the family will receive guests at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel on Wed, Aug 10th. Visitation will begin at 1:00 followed by a chapel service at 2:00 and a graveside service. A celebration of life will follow.
