Albert Price

Albert Hendrix “Captain Al” Price, son of the late Thomas & Hazel (Steffens) Price, was born on June 8, 1933 and departed this life on August 7, 2022. At the time of his passing, he was eighty-nine years, one month and thirty days of age. Albert was preceded in passing by his parents; five siblings; and his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law. Albert is survived by his loving wife of seventy years, Doris Price; three children, Allen & wife Dianna Price, Dennis & wife Karen Price and Bonnie & husband Osiel Lopez; eleven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a host of many friends and family who will truly miss him. Albert was born and raised in Plato, Missouri. After he finished his schooling, he was united in marriage to Doris Struck on June 1, 1952. Albert then was drafted into the United States Army during the Korean Conflict in May of 1953. After he returned home from his time of service, he pursued a career in electronics while they raised their family in Iowa. A few years after their marriage, they moved their family to Osage Beach, Missouri and later moved to Linn Creek, Missouri, where he began serving as a fireman at the Osage Beach Fire Department. While serving at the fire department, he was instrumental in establishing the Osage Beach Fire Department as a community supported fire district. He also was known as, “Captain Al the Kiddy’s Pal” while serving as captain of the “Tom Sawyer”. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodcarving, gardening and Antique shopping. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2022 at Linn Creek Baptist Church. Interment will take place in Percival Cemetery following the funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri.
