Evelyn "Evie" Maguire

Dateline-Fremont, NH Evelyn M. Maguire, fondly known as “Evie”, age-70, passed away August 4, 2022 at her home in Fremont, NH surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 28, 1952 in Lustuguj, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late Joseph Dedam and Ruby (Isaac) Dedam. Evie grew up in Lawrence, MA and she was one of eight children in her family. After meeting by chance on a night out, and the persistence by Dan to get her to dance, they began a relationship and were later married on February 3, 1990. They spent a few years in Newburyport and then purchased a home in Amesbury where they raised their two children and lived for 24 years. Evie spent many years working at Brush Wellman Manufacturing Co. in Newburyport. Later, she did baby siting and nannying out of her Amesbury home and lastly Evie did some healthcare work as a certified nursing assistant. She and Dan resided the last 6 years in Fremont, NH. Evie was always about her family, and she wanted nothing more in life than to be a mother and grandmother. She was very proud of her Native American heritage in the Mi-Kmaq tribe. Her hobbies included dancing and going to musical concerts. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Shirley Dedam, Arthur Dedam and Debbie Dedam. Evie is survived by her husband, Daniel A. Maguire, son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jennifer Antosz, daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Robert Barletta, 1 granddaughter, Faith Antosz, 4 siblings, Madeleine Holdsworth, Donna Levesque, Constance Dedam, Patrick Dedam and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday August 13 starting at 1 PM ending at 4 PM open house located at 11 Juniper Lane Topsfield MA.
