Amy Theresa Jensen, age 66 of Kyle, Texas, passed away on August 3, 2022. She was born November 18, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas, to the great joy of Russ and Betty Jensen and her two older brothers Michael (Mike) and Patrick (Pat). They all grew up in San Antonio and Amy graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1974. After graduation, Amy and Betty ran the second largest answering service in San Antonio.

Amy moved to Dallas with her widowed mother and young son, Gary, where she attended the University of Texas at Dallas. She worked for the law firm of Baron & Budd while in Dallas.

Amy moved to the Austin area in 2000 and worked as a Litigation Paralegal for one of the top Plaintiff's attorneys. She worked as a Legal Assistant at the Texas Lottery Commission from 2006 until her retirement in 2018. She was a valued member of the Legal Services Division Staff. Amy was hardworking, organized, and often made you think she was the one in charge of her assigned attorneys. She received accolades from both colleagues and the public with whom she worked. Amy made friends easily and had a way of letting you know that you were a very important person in her life. She was self-deprecating and hated attention but was kind, loving and very deserving of one's devotion.

Amy loved her dogs and spent most of her free time caring for and spoiling Gizmo, Jax and Harley.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Russ and Betty Jensen, and her son, Gary, as well as Gizmo and Jax. Amy is survived by her brothers Mike and Pat Jensen, her dog Harley and very many loving and close friends.

All will gather to celebrate Amy's life on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home of Kyle, 1715 Kirby; near Kohler's Crossing and Jack Hays Trail.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the National Kidney Foundation in Amy's memory would be very appropriate.
