Sandra J. Petrille

Sandra J. Petrille (nee Craig), age 80, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1969, formerly of Detroit and Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at her home. She was born August 8, 1941, in Detroit, MI. Beloved wife of Dennis G. Petrille, whom she married August 31, 1963, loving mother of David (Cynthia Gorham) Petrille, Deborah Petrille and Stephen (Heather Procida) Petrille, adored nana of Kariah, Kayla, Caden, Colton and Grace Petrille, devoted daughter of the late Jo and Stella (nee Robinson) Craig, dear sister of Donald (Robin Michaels) Craig and the late Roger Craig, fond aunt of Scott (Stephanie) Craig and Carrie (Michael) Duggan, great-aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Sandra was born in Detroit, MI and grew up in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. Sandra attended the Detroit Institute of Technology and Albion College, Albion, MI. Sandra was a faithful member of Grace (now Village) Bible Church in Naperville. She was an astute student of the bible and taught women’s bible studies and children’s Sunday school. Sandra was an avid golfer, was active in artistic crafts and was a gourmet cook. She won two awards from the Chicago Tribune for her cooking skills, skills which she passed on to her sons. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, 4:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held Thursday, August 11, 10:30 AM at the Village Bible Church, 7S201 S. River Road, Naperville, IL 60540, (630) 420-7071 with Rev. Cisco Cotto and Rev. David Petrille officiating. Interment will be private.
