Beatrice Lucille Little Obituary

Celebration of life Sunday August 14th 3 pm in First Baptist Church of Fair Play
, burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery

Beatrice "Lucille" (Washam) Little passed away peacefully on August 6, 2022.
She was born June 13, 1927 in Phoenix, AZ to Walter and Helen Washam. She was the third of five children born to that union.
Lucille spent her childhood growing up on a homestead in the desert of Surprise, AZ. She had vivid memories of growing up during the depression, but they always had food because her father was a master gardner.
She was very athletic in school and graduated at Peoria High School and married the love her life, Marion Billy Little in 1946 at the age of 19.
She and Bill enjoyed 64 years of marriage until his death in 2010.
During their marriage they lived in the Phoenix, AZ area for 27 years while Bill was in the Air National Guard. She spent her early years harvesting grapes. She was a wonderful Mom and homemaker to three beautiful children and worked part-time as a nurse's aid.
She loved playing softball in her younger years and shined at league bowling and golf.
She was also a wonderful artist and passed that love of art to many in the family.
After retirement in 1972 they moved to Missouri, joining some of Lucille's family, where they purchased and ran Master's Bait & Tackle a few miles from the "new" Stockton Lake.
They enjoyed running the store and meeting new friends and taking all the grandkids skiing. Lucille and Bill also loved wintering in Arizona and RV'ing to Alaska in their motor home.
Lucille was a special lady to everyone she met and never had a bad word about anyone. One word for her would be "Spunky". She adored her family and church. And they all cherished her. She will be greatly missed and always warmly remembered.......
