Sander "Sandy" J. Slatkin

Sander Jay Slatkin (“Sandy”) passed away at his home on August 6, 2022. Sandy was born on February 3, 1941, to the late Freida &amp; Gordon Slatkin. He was educated in the Denver Public Schools, received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Denver. He was in the Colorado Air National Guard and served with honor, bravery and distinction in the Vietnam Conflict. He practiced law for fifty years in Denver. He was a dedicated and proud member of the Orthodox Jewish Community, always practicing his observant religious way of life, in and out of the synagogue. He will be missed.<br><br>He is survived by his brother Bud (Teena), nephews Daniel (Alyson) Slatkin, Ari (Danielle Collins) Slatkin, Jonathan (“JJ”) (Rebecca) Slatkin, Niece Cassie Slatkin and great nephews Gabriel and Alexander Slatkin. He is also survived by his aunt, Barbara Altman Cook and numerous loving cousins and the Denver Orthodox Jewish Community.<br><br>Sandy and his family were also blessed by the loving care of Aura, Geneve and Max, the dedicated care of Denver Hospice, including Amanda Stephenson, the incredible medical care from Dr. David C. Leonard and Dr. Cindy Brown of the Colorado Veterans Hospital and Eve Lowenger of Jewish Family Services. They were all part of Sandy’s wide range of friends that cared deeply about him, as did he of them. <br><br>Graveside Funeral Services will be held on August 7, 2022, at 4:00 P.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery, 6841 E 62nd Ave, Commerce City, CO 80022. Obituary

Sander Jay Slatkin (“Sandy”) passed away at his home on August 6, 2022. Sandy was born on February 3, 1941, to the late Freida & Gordon Slatkin. He was educated in the Denver Public Schools, received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Denver.
