Edwin Andresen, 84, of DeWitt, Iowa, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

Edwin was born March 6, 1938, to John and Opal (Dalton) Andresen in Clinton, Iowa. He graduated from Goose Lake High School. Edwin was united in marriage to Bertha Holdgrafer. He retired from the Iowa Department of Transportation and was a longtime member of the DeWitt Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Bertha; children, Darwin (Mary), Diane, and Daryl (Tonya); 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elaine Andresen; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Denise Oldsen, brother, Robert Andresen, and sister, Doris Paddock.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the DeWitt Volunteer Fire Department and sent to the funeral home at 722 8th Street, DeWitt, Iowa.
