Leroy Henry Steadman, Jr., 66, of Hemingway, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at McLeod Hospital System of the Pee Dee. He was the son of the late Leroy Henry Steadman, Sr. and the late Edith Stott Steadman. Mr. Steadman was born on July 31, 1956, in Westerly, Rhode Island. He was a machinist by trade. He was an avid fan of Nascar racing and loved wood working. He always claimed that he was smart because he got grandkids first. His most treasured time was spent with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church in Georgetown, SC. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Steadman; two daughters, Elizabeth Bruen of Rhode Island and Deanna Barber (Seldon) of Rhode Island; twelve grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Barber (Gardner) and Marion Kibbey (Wayne); and best friend, Edwin Harrington.
