<p>Vernon Jeffrey Johnson, 65, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 5, 2022.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his wife, Darlene Johnson; sons, Jeff Johnson Jr. (Karen) and Larry Caldwell; daughter, Kristi Sword (Patrick); grandchildren, Gavin Sword, Aidan Casstevens, Kolton Casstevens, Isaiah Johnson, and Camden Johnson; sister, Gail Anderson (Mike); niece, Lisa Pirogov; and nephew, Luke Anderson.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will have a Visitation on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home (Peters Creek). A Chapel Service will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.</p>
