Terrence "Terry" Bernard Patrick O'Reilly
<p>Terry O'Reilly (Terrence Bernard Patrick O'Reilly) passed away on August 6, 2022 at 99 years of age. He was born in Huntsville, AL on April 17, 1923. </p><p> </p><p>Terry was a lifelong member of Saint Mary's of the Visitation Church, and graduated in the last graduating class from St. Mary's School in 1942. </p><p> </p><p>Terry was proud to be an American, and a Marine. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during World War II in the Pacific theater. </p><p> </p><p>Terry worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 35 years, and retired in April 1978. </p><p> </p><p>After retirement, he became an avid golfer and played numerous courses throughout the United States. Terry played golf until he was 95 years old. </p><p> </p><p>He is preceded in death by: parents Terry O'Reilly and Wilhelmina Schaub O'Reilly; daughter Kathy O'Reilly; and sisters: Pauline Manley, Elizabeth O'Reilly, Marie Coulter, Martha Campbell, and Margurite Owens. </p><p> </p><p>Survivors include: his wife of more than 70 years, Fay O'Reilly; children: Dan (Kathy Wood) O'Reilly, Greg (Anita) O'Reilly, Pat (Kelly) O'Reilly, David (Anita) O'Reilly, Mike (Mary Helen) O'Reilly, Beth Morris, and Mary Ann (Roger) Blaxton; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. </p><p> </p><p>The family extends a special thank you to Nurse Lauren. </p><p>In lieu of flowers make donations to the Roofing Restoration Fund at Saint Mary's of the Visitation Church. </p><p>Arrangements will be handled by Spry Funeral home. </p>April 17, 1923 - August 6, 202204/17/192308/06/2022
