John David Curry, age 73 of Morganfield, KY passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. He was born April 10, 1949 to K Wetzel and Elizabeth Curry in Sturgis, KY. He was a coal miner for 43 years and retired from Highland Coal Mines as a member of the UMWA. John enjoyed harness racing, boating, motorcycle riding and traveling. He was a life-long member of the Union County Fair Board. John was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, K Wetzel Curry Survivors include: Mother: Elizabeth Curry Brown of Sturgis, KY Wife: Debbie Curry of Morganfield, KY Daughter: Tina Adams and fiancé Cory Thomas of Morganfield, KY Son: Ross Curry and wife Amanda of Sturgis, KY 2 Step-sons: Robbie Hite and wife Amy of Jackson, TN Ryan Hite of Trophey Club, TX Sister: Barbara Davis and husband Mike of Waverly, KY 7 Grandchildren: Madison Ebelhar and husband Rocky Alex Wright, Luke Adams, Jaci Curry, Dana Curry Tyler Hite, and Nathan Hite 2 Great Grandchildren: Hank Ebelhar and Jacob Ebelhar 3 Nieces 1 Nephew The service will be 10AM Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. Rev. Don House will officiate. The burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield. The visitation will be 4-7PM Monday and 9AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
