Fred left for the Marine Corps and “Red” still kept her eye out, and soon he came back and she realized he had is eye on her too! She and Fred took him into their lives and gave him the best life a boy could have, always full of love, and always there whenever he needed them. He misses them dearly.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Farley of Winston Salem; and the love of her life, Fred Dowell of Jacksonville.

Survivors include her only child, Scott Dowell and his wife, Sharon of Glenwood, IA; and her sister, Louise Woolard of Clemmons.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 PM on Tuesday evening, August 16, 2022 at the funeral home.
