<p>Lynn Robert Mauldin, 83, of Gonzales, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 at his home surrounded by his wife and daughters who were so very grateful to have been blessed with the opportunity to be with him in his last days. Lynn was born December 20, 1938 in Nixon to John Robert and Lottye Witten Mauldin. He married Sandra Lynn Fink on October 21, 1967 in the Monthalia United Methodist Church. </p><p><br></p><p>Lynn was so loved by his family who enjoyed his wonderful hugs and his cooking advise. Lynn was an excellent cook like his mother, and he enjoyed making his famous BBQ Chicken, “Papaw’s” Ham, chicken salad, and pimento cheese that his grandchildren would specifically ask for. Lynn looked forward to his daily trips with Sandra to Texpresso for his small latte with one Splenda and driving through Independence Park and down Farm to Market roads as he did for so many years working for TXDOT. Lynn took pride in his work as a heavy equipment operator with TXDOT for 47 years. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and building his own Flintlock Gun. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother; and will be greatly missed.</p><p><br></p><p>Lynn is survived by his adoring family; wife of 54 years, Sandra Lynn Mauldin of Gonzales, daughters, Andrea Sieben (Jason) of Tyler, Erica Friedrich (Scott) of Cedar Park, grandchildren, Hannah Sieben, Lauren Friedrich, Julia and Emma Sieben and Hayden Friedrich, brother, Ned Mauldin (Mary) of Round Rock, sisters-in-law, Brenda Grauke (Harold), Caroline Cloer (Denver), brother-in-law, Kenneth Fink (Doreen) and beloved mother-in-law, Elizabeth (Polly) Fink. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Herbert (Snookie) Null, father-in-law, Marvin Fink, and a niece, Dana Adams. </p><p><br></p><p>Private family services will be held at a later date. Friends may leave their condolences to the family by visiting www.seydlerhillfuneralhome.com. Memorials may be made to Hospice of South Texas or the American Cancer Society. Services are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.</p>
