Mona Day Truman, 71 of Quinwood, WV passed on to be with the Lord on Friday, August 5, 2022. Mona was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mona was born on January 31, 1951 and was the daughter of Zelma Nutter Day, and William "Bill" Day of Quinwood, who both preceded her in death. Mona is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Claude "Strawberry" Truman of Quinwood and two daughters, Tonya Hendrix of Houston TX, and Melynda Midkiff of Rainelle, WV. Mona's siblings are Mary Newman of Hines, WV, Malcom Roy Day of Orlando, FL, and Robert Day of Virginia Beach, VA. Grandchildren are Josh Lively, Christian Goff and husband Aaron, Alex Hendrix and wife Jasmine, and Patrick Hendrix. Great-grandchildren are Liam and Maverick Goff. Mona followed a Christian path and loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a caregiver who worked several years as a nurse at the Greenbrier Manor in Lewisburg, WV. Giving care to others always brought her great joy. She worked hard to take care of her family and provide anything she could to make sure they had whatever they needed. She loved her pets and leaves behind her dog, Jacob. She was a very loving and giving person and her family misses her very much. Mona requested to not have a funeral service. In lieu of flowers the family has asked to make a small donation to St. Jude as this charity was close to Mona's heart.
