Dale Clifton Badders Obituary

Dale Clifton Badders, 92, Chili, passed away at 10:44 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022, at Wellbrooke of Wabash, Indiana.  

Born April 5, 1930, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, he was the son of Charles W. Badders and Shellie Cathey Badders.  On May 25, 1955, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, he was married to Fern Maxine Davis, and she preceded him in death on January 14, 2002.

He retired from Fisher Body/General Motors in Marion, Indiana, where he had worked for many years, and he was a United States Army veteran.  He loved gardening, planting trees, being outside, hunting, and keeping busy.  He enjoyed the peaceful rural life and treasured his time with family.  

Survivors include five children, Vickie Lynn (Pat) Randolph, Huntington; Charles Eric Badders, Los Angeles, CA; Randall Mark Badders, Peru; Shawn Matthew Badders, Amboy; and Julie Dawn (Scott) Grossman, South Whitley, Indiana; six grandchildren Nathan Alan (Wendy) Spence, Bunker Hill; Ashley Nicole Deeg, Roanoke; Jesse Matthew (Jana) Badders, Indianapolis; Jerrod Waylon (Lauren) Badders, Kokomo; Erika Reneigh Badders, Peru; and Lacey Kaitlyn Badders, Denver; seven great-grandchildren, Ethan, Abby, Hannah, Adrien, Rosie, Eevee, and Xavier; and one sister, Dawn Herndon, Hopewell, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his wife; one great-granddaughter, Brianna Fern Rylands; and three siblings, Charles Glen Badders, Hal Nolan Badders, and Lindy Pat Badders.  

Private graveside services were held at Chili Community Cemetery, Chili, Indiana.
