Cornett, Frank, age 93 of Hawthorne on Saturday, August 6, 2022. Born in Paterson, Frank had resided in Hawthorne for the last 65 years. A master plumber and fire protection engineer, Frank was the owner and operator of North Jersey Fire Protection, Inc. in Hawthorne. Frank was also a licensed real estate broker in several states. A competitive tennis player for most of his life, Frank was ranked as one of the top players in the East by the USTA. Frank Cornett was the beloved husband of the late Rose (nee Castellano) Cornett (2002). Loving father of Frank Cornett, Jr. and his wife Pat, Carey Cornett and his wife Carol, Paula Cornett, Matthew Cornett and his wife Charlene, all of Hawthorne, and Kimberly Cornett and her fiancé Joe Hoerdemann of North Haledon. Dear grandfather of Tania, Cara, Heather, James, Ashley, Corina, Mallory, Madison, Alisha, Carey, Jr., and Paighton. Great grandfather of 10. Brother of the late Lorraine McAuliffe. Funeral service will be held at 9:30am on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne. Entombment will follow at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
