Shirley Ann LeBansky Cedarburg, Wisconsin Obituary

Shirley Ann LeBansky

Passed away, peacefully, at the age of 89 on August 6, 2022 after a lengthy, yet gracious battle with Alzheimer’s. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 11, 1932 in Milwaukee to Ingvald & Agnes Malvick (Jenson). She was a second-generation Norwegian immigrant. She married Ronald J. LeBansky on May 9, 1959 and they were blessed with 51 years of marriage. Shirley was preceded in death by son, Dale, in 2000 and Ronald in 2010. Her thoughtfulness, devotion to family, gracefulness and playfulness will be missed by family, friends and caregivers. The family would like to thank the care extended during her final days by Horizon Family Lawlis Hospice. Their compassion and care touched us deeply. We also would like to thank Jerney, Leah and all the caregivers at Fairway Knoll Arbor Memory Care in Germantown. Thank you for providing her a fulfilled life. Staff never let her miss a chance to dance with them. Shirley will be greatly missed by her children, Brian (Rachel) LeBansky, Laurie (Marcus) Tebon and Diane (Bruce) Cable and her grandchildren Monica LeBansky and Mitchell Tebon. Her first great grandchild is due August 2022. Her passion for genealogy, (writing three, large family history books), gardening and her amazing aptitude for computers and technology was something admired by many. She was a voracious reader and loved to walk. She loved her bird visitors and identified them in a bird book, noting which ones she saw. Shirley was ever gracious and polite, saying “please” and “thank you,” even when she lost other words. A private burial will be held in Boaz, WI Donations may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org) “God sent you to us as a special gift from above to teach us life lessons and shower us with your love.” You will be missed greatly, our beautiful Mom.
