Patty Rucker Perdue, age 53 of Vinton, went to be with the Lord on August 5, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer. She is proceeded in death by her parents Clinton and Frances Myres and sister Lisa Jones.

She is survived by her loving husband and partner of 16 years, Derek Perdue; step-daughter, Megan Oliver (Andrew); and great-niece, Haley Rucker. Patty loved spending time with her in-laws, especially her sister’s in-law Doraine Dent (Robert) and Denise Amos (Mike); her brother in-law Damon Perdue (Tammy). Patty loved shopping, especially finding gifts for others, she always wanted her friends and family to feel loved and special in some way.

She never met a stranger and enjoyed making conversation with her loved ones about anything and everything.

Services will be held at the Oakey’s Vinton ,VA location on Tuesday, August 9th at 2PM. Her family will receive visitors an hour before the service. A graveside service will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
