Jamie L. Hudson, 62, of Columbus, passed from this world at 2:30 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 at Columbus Regional Hospital. Jamie was born November 2, 1959, in Enid, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert and Edna Dick Carroll. On September 6, 1980, she married Kevin L. Hudson. Mrs. Hudson graduated from Columbus East High School in 1977. After moving to Indiana, she worked at Cosco, now Dorel Juvenile Group, Inc. Jamie was also a long time member of New Hope Christian Church. She enjoyed traveling and going on vacations with her family. She cherished the time spent with her family at the numerous family gatherings over the years. Jamie looked forward to the time that she could spend with her grandchildren. She had a sparkle that shined a light around everyone that she met. Jamie was the perfect example of patience, kindness and trusting in the Lord’s plan. She will be deeply missed by those that knew her. Survivors include her husband, Kevin; son, Andrew R. (Sarah) Hudson of Columbus; grandchildren, Annie and Noah Hudson; brother, Dennis (Jane) Carroll, sisters, Sally (Dennis) Maloney, both of Oklahoma, Danita (Brian) Bott of Commiskey, Holly Ertel of North Vernon, Robin (Mike) Murphy of Des Moines, Iowa; mother, Edna Carroll of Columbus; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Carroll. The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with John Sichting officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the National M.S.
