<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>McELENEY, Michael O. of Quincy, passed away suddenly August 4. Loving son of the late Julia M. (Brennan) and Owen P. McEleney. Beloved brother of Mary Strassel and her husband, Paul of Cotuit, Jerry McEleney and his wife, Pamela of Canton, Dennis McEleney of Quincy, and Owen B. McEleney and his wife, Elizabeth of Wakefield. Uncle of Heather Strassel of Paris, France, Paul Strassel of Bourne, Gerard McEleney and J. Kirsten McEleney, both of South Boston, and Emma McEleney and Owen P. McEleney, both of Wakefield. Mike is also survived by many cousins.</p> <p>Mike was a graduate of North Quincy High School and a proud veteran of the United States Army.&nbsp; Michael served as a telecommunications specialist in the Army.&nbsp; After his tour of duty Mike worked in telecommunications and electronics for Raytheon, Cabletron and Erickson Communication Group.</p> <p>A devout Boston professional sports fan, Mike enjoyed playing golf and hockey.&nbsp; Even through the most recent season Mike played Mens hockey two to three times per week.</p> <p>Visiting Hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., MILTON, Wednesday, August 10, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Thursday morning August 11, at 10:30. Burial Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Veteran United States Army. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Quincy Youth Hockey Arena, Murphy Memorial Dr., Quincy, MA 02169.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

McELENEY, Michael O. of Quincy, passed away suddenly August 4. Loving son of the late Julia M. (Brennan) and Owen P. McEleney. Beloved brother of Mary Strassel and her husband, Paul of Cotuit, Jerry McEleney and his wife, Pamela of Canton, Dennis McEleney of Quincy, and Owen B. McEleney and his wife, Elizabeth of Wakefield.
