Joao Antonio Rodrigues Perdigao, 66, of Enola, passed away peacefully Friday morning, August 5, 2022, surrounded by his family. Born October 18, 1955, in Funchal Madeira, Portugal, he was a son of the late Antonio Rodrigues Perdigao and Ilda Perira De Oliveira. He was the loving husband of Aretta O. Landis-Perdigao, and celebrated 36 years of marriage with her. Joao proudly served in the Portuguese Army after graduating high school. He worked as a tour guide in Madeira before becoming a Customer Service Representative for several Airlines in the United States. He and Aretta enjoyed traveling together and going on cruises. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, U.S. Army Captain John Perdigao and his wife Brittiny; his granddaughter and joy of his life, Camila Rose Perdigao; his 5 sisters; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. Per his wishes, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Summerdale United Methodist Church, Summerdale, PA; or to CV Zion EC Church in Dauphin, PA.
