<p>Gilda Lynn Holvick (Davis) went to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday August 3, 2022, at the age of 75.&nbsp; She was the lifeblood and heartbeat of her family, caring for all around her in the most selfless, loving way.&nbsp; Her kindness and internal beauty extended way beyond her family to all who knew her, and she will be remembered as someone who gave so much of herself to those around her.&nbsp;</p> <p>Gilda was born March 29, 1947, in Charlotte, North Carolina.&nbsp; She was the oldest of five children.&nbsp; She graduated from Myers Park High School in 1965.&nbsp; She attended Hope College to major in K-12 education where she met the love of her life, Gary.&nbsp; After graduation they were married on August 15, 1970, and began their life together in Holland, MI.&nbsp; They soon moved to Fenton where they raised three boys and spent much time contributing to their community in many beautiful ways. Gilda was a teacher, wife, homemaker, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother who spent her time being there for her family in every way.&nbsp;</p> <p>She is preceded in death by her Father, Robert Davis, Mother, Patricia Schellin and Mother-in-law, Janice Carmon Holvick.&nbsp;</p> <p>She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gary; children, Gary (Brooke) Holvick of Fenton, MI, Brent Holvick of Yuba City, CA, Todd (Marie) Holvick of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren Jacob (22), Connor (19), Mia (13), Joshua (11), Maci (9), Amelia (3), Annie (1), and Emma (1).&nbsp; She is also survived by siblings, Bob (Laura) Davis, Dodie (Jack) Barton, Tom (Lori) Schellin, Patricia Mecklenburg, Deann Middleton and many beloved nieces and nephews.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>The Family will receive friends Wednesday August 10 from 4-7 PM at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton.&nbsp;</p> <p>A Funeral Service will be held 11AM Thursday August 11 at Sharp Funeral Homes.&nbsp; A luncheon for family and friends will follow at 12:30 PM held at Spring Meadow County Club, 1129 Ripley Rd, Linden.&nbsp;</p> <p>Contributions in memory of Gilda may be made to Whaley Children&#39;s Center, 1201 N Grand Traverse, Flint.&nbsp;</p>

Many years have passed but I remember Gilda's smile and warmth so well. I feel so grateful to have briefly known Gilda and whole Holvick Family. Many condolences for your loss. Sending my love to all affected. May the great spirit share your weight.

We are at a loss for words. Gilda was the best neighbor you could ask for. She and Gary watched as Jeff ran over their mailbox but all they did was laugh. RIP Gilda, you will be missed dearly. Deepest condolences to Gary and Family.
