John R. 'Jack' Godwin

<p>John R. &#39;Jack&#39;&nbsp;Godwin, 87, of Eldersburg, Maryland died on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at his home and was surrounded by family. Born January 4, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was the son of the late Thomas and Jessie Godwin. He was the husband of the late Barbara Godwin who died in 2021. They had been married for 53 years. John had retired in 1994 from Chrysler Credit as Director of Operations. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed golfing, especially at his former home in Pinehurst, North Carolina. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Michael and Chizuko Godwin, brother Albert and his wife Jeanie, sister Sharon French and her husband Murell French, sister Diane Bernal, and his granddaughter Maya Godwin. Services and interment will be private. The Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD are assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
