Carmen Teresa Acuna

Carmen Teresa Acuna, 58, a six-year resident of Dover Plains, NY, formerly of Bedford Hills, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at her home in Dover Plains.

Born on December 5, 1963 in Mt. Kisco, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ignatius P. and Estefana (Perez Vargas) Acuna. Carmen was a graduate of Fox Lane High School class of 1982. She was a former member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Bedford Hills, NY. She was also a former member of St. Matthias Catholic Church in Bedford Hills, NY.

Carmen is survived by her three brothers, Carlos Acuna and his wife, Catherine, of Dover Plains, NY, Larry Acuna and his wife, Lisa, of Hamilton, NJ and Joseph Acuna of Saugerties, NY; a sister, Victoria Jasmin of Amenia and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Carmen was predeceased by a brother, Rick Acuna and a brother-in-law, Robert Jasmin.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. A memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. R. Kent Wilson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to NAMI Mid-Hudson, P.O. Box 787.
