Funeral services for Mrs. Jeannette Ray are scheduled for 2 PM, Monday, August 8, 2022, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow in Hughes Chapel Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 1 - 2 PM preceding the service.

Mrs. Ray, a homemaker, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the age of ninety-two. She loved attending all the activities at Oak Woods Home for the Elderly, including the Olympics.

She is survived by her sister, Fay Jordan of Bastrop, LA; brothers, Ronald Evans and wife Grace and Ray Evans, both of Monroe, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Ray is preceded in death by her husband, Norris Ray; parents, L.A. “Bud” Sr and Louise Evans; sister, Mary Stanley; and brothers, Benjamin Evans, L.A. Evans, Jr., Irwin Evans, Huey Evans, and Kenneth Evans.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Billy Jordan, Tommy Jordan, Curtis Jordan, Dillon Evans, Anthony Evans, and Kevin Chain.
