Marilyn Phyllis Nylander Murer

<p>Marilyn Phyllis (Jelleff) Nylander Murer, 85, went home to heaven Aug. 5, 2022. She was a committed Christian and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.</p> <p>Marilyn was born March 9, 1937, the only child of Roderick &ldquo;Rod&rdquo; R. Jelleff and Maybelle B. Shaffroth and a granddaughter of Willis S. and Evalyn Jelleff. Grandparents homesteaded Cedar Island on Flathead Lake and resided there until their 14-year-old son Fancher drowned there.</p> <p>Marilyn graduated from Bigfork schools in 1955 and eventually worked there as bookkeeper, clerk, secretary and librarian for 30 years, retiring in 1983. She was then employed at Kalispell Credit Bureau under five different managements.</p> <p>Aug. 31, 2000, she married Loyal S. &ldquo;Pinky&rdquo; Murer who survives her at Rising Mountains Assisted Living. She felt so very blessed to have had two husbands so dear to her heart. Retirement years were spent keeping books for Bigfork Food Pantry. She also enjoyed belonging to Bigfork Puttering Potters Ceramic Group. Marilyn was an avid reader, loved camping, cribbage, family gatherings for holidays, making lefse and klube or potato dumplings. She sang in church choir, taught Sunday School and led Bible studies. She also enjoyed picnics in Glacier Park and boat trips on Flathead Lake.</p> <p>Survivors include special nephew, James W. Holman and family, special niece Sharon Kinman and families, Randy W. Holman and family; stepdaughter Kayleen (Steve) Kennedy of Nashville, Tennessee; John (Debbie) Murer and Keith L. (Connie) Murer; stepgrandchildren, Galen Kennedy, Ryan Murer, Elise Erickson, Cy Murer, Michaela Goodson, Mackenna Parks, Mae Kinlie, McCall Murer and Lexi Murer; step-great-grandchildren, Faney Murer, Bryce, Brendan and Brody Erickson, Everly and Cyrus Goodson, and Justin Kennedy; aunt, Audrey Jelleff, and families; and cousins, John H. Langlot, Gordon Langlot and Ethan Langlot of Spokane, Joyce Polish, Ann Cottle and Linda DeLong of Missoula.</p> <p>With God&#39;s help, she survived multiple bouts with cancer including the loss of her left leg to bone cancer in 1952. She did manage, through these and other health issues, joint replacements, etc., to live out her years; but God gets the glory!</p> <p>Memorials may be sent to St. Jude&rsquo;s.</p> <p>Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for the family.</p>

Marilyn was a wonderful lady that always had a smile on her face. I will never forget her warm and welcoming ways. God has brought home an amazing angel! My thoughts and prayers go out to Pinky and family.
