With heavy hearts, we the family of Margaret Dandy, announce her passing on August 5, 2022 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by her four loving sons. 

She was born in North Sydney on November 23, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Walshman) Bragg. 

Margaret was a member of Holy Family Parish, Sydney Mines. She was the #1 Hockey and Baseball mom, never missing a game, which continued over the years from her children to great grandchildren. It saddens us that the Boston Bruins lost their #1 fan. She quite often saw a different game than her boys did! One of the highlights of her life was to see her Bruins play. She was game for anything from ice bucket challenge, riding the side by side, Groves point beach and suppers at the Cedar House. 

 Margaret is survived by her four sons, Duncan (Mary Lou), Brian (Arlene), Wayne, Terry (Wanda). Proud grandmother of Crystal, Jennifer, Ryan, Mark, and Aaron. Great grandmother to Noah and Hunter, sister-in-law Kathleen Bragg, many nieces and nephews and special grandchildren Hayden, Jax and Hope. 

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Duncan Dandy, son Gary, daughter in law Priscilla, sister Nora Morris, brother Stan Bragg and eight half siblings.

Visitation for the late Margaret Dandy will be held Monday August 8, 2022 from 6-8 pm in JM Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. A funeral mass to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday August 9 at 11 am in Holy Family Church, Sydney Mines. Memorial donations may be made to the heart and stroke foundation.
