Peacefully surrounded by his family, William ‘Bill’ Patrick Lacey of Chepstow passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, at age 71. Beloved husband of Jane and father of Lynn Smith of London, Scott of Kitchener, and Ashley Lacey (Jeffrey Charters) of Guelph. Proud grandpa of Dylan and Jacob. He will be missed by his siblings Mary Therese (Don) Zettler of Neustadt, Joan (Mack) Frizzell of Owen Sound, Jack (Shirley) Lacey of Chepstow, Cathy (Earl Thede) Anness of Southampton, brothers-in-law Joe Zettler of Walkerton, Bob (Marilyn) Zettler of London, sisters-in-law Margaret Zettler of Walkerton, Marian Smith of Vancouver, and Marlene Zettler of Walkerton.

Bill is predeceased by siblings Patty (Carl) Morris, Margie (Carl) Fritz, and Ann-Marie Lacey, sister-in-law Gladys Zettler, brothers-in-law Ray Smith, Ray Zettler, and Joe Fritz, and parents Bill and Patricia (nee Hearn) Lacey.

Bill farmed in Chepstow from an early age. He dearly loved his family and the farm. He happily passed many afternoons in the company of family and friends when they visited.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022, at Mary Immaculate Church, Chepstow. Fr. Emmanuel Azike officiating. A celebration of life will be held after mass from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Chepstow Lions Hall.

Interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow.
