Carl Fredrick Bailey 87 of Harrison passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Carl was born August 3, 1931 in Blairsville, Pennsylvania the son of Earl Redrick Bailey and Zelda (Ankney) Bailey. Carl honorably served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. <br> On June 5, 1982, in Trenton, Michigan, Carl was united in marriage to the former Linda Lee Brown. Mr. Bailey had resided in Harrison since 1988, moving from Lincoln Park, Michigan. Carl was employed with McCord Corporation of Wyandotte, Michigan with over twenty-six years of service and then went to work and retired from ITT Manufacturing of Roscommon, Michigan after many years of employment. Carl loved boating, fishing, camping, playing racquetball, baseball, maintaining his home and yard, deer hunting, both rifle and bow and playing bingo at the V.F.W. Post 1075 of Harrison. He was known to be a master of Mahjong games. Many will remember Carl as a fun and loving guy with a great wit and sense of humor. <br> Surviving Mr. Bailey is his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Mrs. Linda Lee Bailey of Harrison, his five daughters; Nicole (Rob) Mazzola of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Kristen (Mike) Bailey of Harrison, Patty Rizzi of Southgate, Michigan, Cheryl Keathley of Wyandotte, Michigan and Renee (Jim) Carr of Trenton, Michigan, his four sons; John (Cindy) Bailey of Melvindale, Michigan, Carl (Lynn) Bailey of New Hudson, Michigan, David Bailey of Garden City, Michigan and Philip Bailey of Lincoln Park, twenty grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, plus a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, his tropical parrots; Sassy, Ruby, Bailey, Billie and Elbie. Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Sonny Bailey and his first wife, Faith Bailey.<br> Funeral services honoring Mr. Bailey will be held Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison, with Pastor Connie Bongard officiating. Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Military honors will be held immediately following services under the auspices of the V.F.W. On June 5, 1982, in Trenton, Michigan, Carl was united in marriage to the former Linda Lee Brown. Mr. Bailey had resided in Harrison since 1988, moving from Lincoln Park, Michigan.
