Master Sergeant John Badger, III retired at the grade of E-7 Master Sergeant after 22 years of military service. At the time of his death, John Badger, III had been employed with the United States Postal Service in Roseville, California, for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Ozell Coleman Badger.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his father, Johnny Badger, Jr. (Mary) of Oakland, California; one daughter, Miccaela Montague (Wayne Montague) of Oakland, California; one brother, Leo Badger (Tekeisha), of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three sisters, Mary Badger Smith, Roslyn Badger-Harris, and Pearline Badger, all of Monroe, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends in the Sacramento area.
