In loving memory of Carlo Bruno Cocco, 84 years who passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at his residence. Dear son of Angelo and Giovanna (Stocco), both predeceased. Brother to Gino (predeceased), Marta (predeceased), Bruna (predeceased), Maria, Romano (predeceased), Lina, Rosina (predeceased), and Emilio. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy, and Australia. He will be especially missed by nieces and nephews in Canada, Loretta Rocca (Frank), Gianna Nero (Antonio), Dennis Cocco (Victoria), and Larry Cocco (Melanie). He will also be missed by Gary and Johanne Pedron in Hamilton. He will be missed by good friends Valerio and Tony in Hamilton. Carlo was born in Castello di Godego, Treviso, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in June of 1958. He came across the ocean with his aunt Theresa Maggiolo and soon to be sister-in-law Maria Cocco, to start a new life. Carlo lived briefly in Sudbury. He then made his way to Hamilton where he worked construction on high rise buildings and structures. He was particularly proud of working on the Burlington Skyway Bridge. Carlo was an avid Formula 1 fan, his favourite team being Ferrari. He was able to visit the Ferrari plant in Italy. He was proud to wear his team jacket and cap. He also enjoyed watching soccer, cheering on Juventus. He enjoyed growing grapes and making wine in Hamilton. He was proud of this tomato plants. He would play cards with his friends at the Hamilton Italian Club, where he was a life member. He moved up to Sudbury four years ago. The staff and residents at Amberwood Suites became his extended family. He was happy and well taken care of at his new home. Carlo enjoyed travelling Europe, Australia, the United States, and all over Canada. He enjoyed life and a great glass of wine. He loved to joke and laugh with everyone.
