Anthony J Cardello 81 of Jackson died peacefully at home with his family on Friday August 5, 2022. Born in Brooklyn, NY he resided in Staten Island for 49 years before moving to Winding Ways community in Jackson 7 years ago. He retired from the NY Sanitation Dept in Staten Island after 21 years, retiring in 1985. He then worked for the Staten Island Community Services as a bus driver for all the senior services. He served in the Army during Vietnam from 1963-65. He was a parishioner of St Aloysius Church, Jackson. He enjoyed the Mets, WWI & WWII history and visiting the homes of presidents, as well as traveling to Italy and most of all to Lancaster, PA to the Dutch area. He was active on the Winding Ways Bocce Ball team and loved watching the Lawrence Welk Show, Bonanza, Rifleman and the Wagon Train. He is predeceased by his brother, John Cardello. Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Mary Cardello, son, Anthony Cardello & his wife Karina, daughter, Claudine Torino & husband Robert, brother, Dr Frank Cardello and 3 grandchildren, Robert Jr, Gianna & Matthew. Visitation is Monday 5-9 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 125 S. Cooks Bridge Rd Jackson. Funeral Liturgy is Tuesday 10 AM at St Aloysius Church, Jackson with a private burial following.
