Jim Philbin

Jim Philbin was born Dec. 30, 1946 and passed away July 15, 2022. He was a loving husband and father of one.<br><br>Jim was born in Dallas, TX and moved to Lancaster TX with his mother, Julia, and father, Anthony, at age 7. He graduated from Lancaster High and then went to North Texas State University where he studied drama and Radio/TV.<br><br>Jim joined the Navy in 1971 and served as an electricians mate. He faught in the Vietnam war and was a P.O.W. for approximately 9 months.<br><br>After serving our country, he went back to school and earned a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. He worked in the semi-conductor business 26 years, then worked for Caterpillar Work Tool from which he retired. He also worked at Lowes in Albuquerque for 3 years. He was a very hard worker and a good provider.<br><br>Jim enjoyed camping, boating, and cruises. He had a giving spirit and a great sense of humor.<br><br>Jim is survived by his wife of 27 years, Joni, a son, Austin, and several cousins.<br><br>A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, August 11th, at Koinonia Church, 10405 Comanche NE.

Obituary

Jim Philbin was born Dec. 30, 1946 and passed away July 15, 2022. He was a loving husband and father of one.

Jim was born in Dallas, TX and moved to Lancaster TX with his mother, Julia, and father, Anthony, at age 7. He graduated from Lancaster High and then went to North Texas State University where he studied drama and Radio/TV.

Jim joined the Navy in 1971 and served as an electricians mate. He faught in the Vietnam war and was a P.O.W. for approximately 9 months.
