Edinburg- Diamianita Martinez, 74, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, Texas.

She was born on September 19, 1947 to Mr. Lorenzo Alcala and Mrs. Romana Roman in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Mrs. Martinez is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Lorenzo Alcala; her son, Oscar Pizano; her bothers, Jose Alcala, Esteban Alcala and her sister, Margarita Davila.

Left to cherish her memories is her Loving Husband, Mauro Martinez; her son, Mauro (Jackie Ibarra) Martinez Jr.; her daughters, Cynthia (Enrique Hernandez) Pizano, Magdalena (Osvado Perez) Martinez, Merari (Matthew) Vargas; her mother, Mrs. Romana R. Alcala; her brothers, Alberto Alcala, Lorenzo Alcala Jr., Marco Alcala; her sisters, Maria Angel Alcala, Elizabeth Garcia, Ester Alcala, Abigail Moreno, Maria Magdalena Villarreal, Hilda Colesberry, Yolanda Del Bosque; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Visitation for Mrs. Diamianita Martinez is scheduled for Monday, August 8,2022 at 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Elsa. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm at Iglesia Nueva Vida in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valle de la Paz Cemetery in Hargil, Texas.
