Larry Richard Howland, 75, of Mishawaka, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

Larry was born August 15, 1946 in Mishawaka to the late Richard Howland, Sr. and Anna (Kedik) Howland. He graduated from Mishawaka High School and later earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. He served his country in the US Army from 1966 to 1970 where he was a tank mechanic.

Larry married Sharon “Sheri” Layne on June 18, 1966. The couple made Mishawaka their home.

Larry was employed as a machinist for 25 years at Federal Mogul. He was of the Catholic Faith and was very patriotic. He was a talented man who could fix anything. Larry was known as a perfectionist and was a great car mechanic and particularly enjoyed home renovation. Most of all Larry’s family was the center of his life. He was a solid rock to his family and especially loved being a grandpa. From many family activities such as coaching his family in softball to teaching them home repair he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Rest in Peace Larry.
