Peacefully, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Thursday August 4, 2022, Michael Foote passed away at 70 years of age. Loved brother of George and David. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends all across Canada. Mike was retired from the Royal Canadian Navy as a Petty Officer, 2nd Class (PO 2) and was well known for his love of reading. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. In keeping with Mike’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Mike will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4, 383 Morningstar Avenue., Welland on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. The service will begin at 1 p.m. followed by an open house until 3 p.m. The family wish to thank all the doctors and nurses at the St. Catharines General Hospital for their excellent care as well as the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 for their hospitality and assistance in organizing this Celebration of Life for Mike.
