Bennie Lee Longmire, of Livingston Manor, New York, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at home. He was born on June 11, 1951 in Burl (Watson Crossing, Wilcox County), Alabama.<br><br><br><br>Bennie Lee, was a standout basketball player and graduate of W.J. Jones High School, Pineapple, Alabama and employed with several warehouses in New York. He was preceded to Heaven by his parents Ben Longmire and Callie Watson; and siblings: Rayford Longmire, Melinda Longmire and Ezell Longmire. <br><br><br><br>He leaves to cherish his memory, one son: Ira "Bam" Hemingway (Tiffany) of Conway, South Carolina; three grandchildren: Jasmine Hemingway, Briah Hemingway and Amari Hemingway; two sisters: Geraldine Jefferson of Tampa, FL, and Zanetta Stallworth of Montgomery, AL; one sister-in-law, Lolene Longmire if Fayetteville, North Carolina; four nephews: Rayford Longmire, Jr. of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Bryan Jefferson of Tampa, FL, Dewayne Jefferson of Tampa, FL, Larry N. Stallworth, Jr. of Sterling, VA; three nieces: Melissa Longmire of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Melinda Stallworth of Montgomery, AL, and Regina Stallworth of Spring, TX; three aunts, Eva Collins of Fayettville, GA, Doris Broughton of Pensacola, FL, Lillie Pearl Jarmon of Ozark, AL and Lee Ester Broughton of Pensacola, FL; a host of family and friends and Jacqueline Richard, Livingston Manor, New York, friend and caregiver of several years.<br><br><br><br>A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Holy Cross Cemetery, Pensacola, FL at 10:00am. <br><br><br>Arrangements under the care of Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home, for further information call 845-434-7363 or visit www.colonialfamilyfuneralhomes.com
