Mary Melinda Ellis Obituary

Mary Melinda Ellis, 77, of Eldersburg, died Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Carroll Hospital Center. Born December 15, 1944 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Catherine Reidel Donlan. She was the wife of the late Joseph Ellis who died March 23, 2009. They had been married for 46 years. Mary had worked in food service at Woodmoore Elementary school. She enjoyed reading books, doing crossword puzzles, going the beach, watching crime shows such as law and Order and NCIS and also enjoyed the Hallmark channel. Many of her weekends were spent with her grandchildren watching movies and playing card games. She is survived by sons Timothy Joseph Ellis, Stephen Bernard Ellis and his wife Julie, daughter Kathleen Ann Ellis, brother Matthew Donlan, sister Fran Purper, sister in law Helen Ellis Kreiner and grandchildren Keith, Christopher and Jeanie Ellis and Rylee, Cassidy and Kaelli Malpezzi. She was preceded in death by brother Timothy Donlan and sister Catherine Sheckells. A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00PM till time of service. Interment will be private.
