Anthony A. Stark Roselle, Illinois Obituary

Anthony A. Stark

Anthony "Iron Man" Stark, 38. of Roselle; cherished son of Catherine, nee Zaplatich and Kevin Stark; dear nephew of Anna (Steve) Marcoux, Michael Zaplatich and Karen (late Mike) Dargenio; favorite cousin of Jason and the late Scott; fond godson of Andy (Linda) Jasinski; pet bunny Joker and a great friend of many.
Anthony was an amazing young man. His outlook on life, the way he battled his illness, his determination and positive attitude was truly astonishing. We all should strive to be more like Anthony. He loved his work at Jewel in Schaumburg. Anthony loved growing up in Roselle with his own forest for a backyard. He had a personality that was both friendly and genuine. He never focused on his problems. He always asked how you were. He did not like to sit and do nothing. Anthony had to start his day with a DD coffee. He would run outside, run at the Roselle Rec Center. He loved his job as a Front End Associate at Jewel and was always trying to pick up more hours. He continuously pushed himself harder, to get stronger. He looked forward to tomorrow, even after countless hospital visits, doctor appointments, surgeries, chemo and radiation. His goal was to get strong enough to stand, then walk and eventually run again. Anthony never gave up. Anthony's body gave up on him. He was a blessing and inspiration to so many people and will be missed forever.
Visitation Thursday, August 11th, 9:00 am until his service at 12:00 pm / noon at the Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 333 South Roselle Rd.
