A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, August 8, 2022 at Boone Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dr. Larry Williams of Broadmoor Baptist Church.<br><br>The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.<br><br>Beverly passed away August 3, 2022 in Shreveport with her brother and granddaughter by her side. Beverly taught thirty plus years within the Bossier Parish School system. She retired from Bossier Parish Community College. Beverly was an active member of her community. She enjoyed forming future leaders within the Boy and Girl Scout Programs. She served her Lord by being a Sunday School teacher, as well as assisting in the Media Ministry at Broadmoor Baptist Church. When time allowed she loved working jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, and sailing and boating at Shreveport Yacht Club. <br> <br>Waiting for Beverly in Heaven is the love of her life, Jim Wasner; and parents, Edna and John Baxter. Left to carry on her legacy are sons, Mike Wasner and wife Kathy, and David Wasner and wife Christine; brother, John Baxter, Jr. ; grandchildren, Allyson, Justin and wife Hannah, and Jonathan; great-grandchildren, Silas, and Scarlette; and many other family members and friends. <br><br>Beverly touched many lives during her years as an educator. She inspired young minds to excel and to be the best they could be. She will be greatly missed for her dedication, hugs, and warm heart. <br><br>
