Debra S. Smith, 63, of Kirklin, passed away at Clinton House Rehab & Healthcare on July 31, 2022. 

Born March 11, 1959, in Zionsville, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Joan (Timmons) Gwaltney, who preceded her in death.  She married Will Smith in 1993, and they later separated.

Debra was a 1976 graduate from Zionsville High School and received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Kaplan College.  She worked as a secretary for several different companies throughout her career.

Debra enjoyed her flower beds, gardening, listening to music, playing Solitaire, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.

Surviving Debra are her sons, Alex Smith and John Smith; granddaughter, Bailey Smith; sister, Tonya Gwaltney; and brother, Rodger Gwaltney.

Following Debra’s request, no services will be held.
