<p>NIELSEN, Erik –</p><p><br></p><p>Passed away unexpectedly at home with his family by his side on July 29, 2022, at the age of 45.</p><p>Amazing and loving dad of Ella and Jax Nielsen. Adored son of Kathy Nielsen and Helge (Cheryl) Nielsen. One of a kind brother to Lindsey (Corey) Norton as well as stepbrother of Scott Ross. Fun loving uncle to Blake Norton. Special fur uncle to Ellie. Best friend and love Karin Beith. (Daughter Alexa). Grandson to the late Shirley and the late Ken Cunningham, the late Inger and the late Andreas Nielsen as well as step-grandson to Phyllis and the late Bob Robertson. Erik will be lovingly remembered by his many aunts, uncles and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>Erik's greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and nephew. He loved taking them to the park, going on bike rides and watching them grow. He loved his family very much and told them often</p><p>Erik was a very kind, loving and outgoing person, lighting up every room he was in. He loved sports, especially football. He played for the Sault Steelers and Ottawa Gee-Gees.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to thank the First Responders and O'Sullivan Funeral Home for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.</p><p><br></p><p>Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Erik’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Sault Ste. Marie Human Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home.</p><p>Rest Peacefully.
