Nancy Eva Hutchison

<p>Nancy Eva Hutchison, beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. She was 81 years young and was a resident of New Albany, Indiana, where she raised her three sons, Paul, Scott, and Jeff.</p> <p>Nancy was born on November 14, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN. to Edgar and Evelyn Davis. After high school, Nancy graduated from Purdue University with her degree in speech therapy. While going to Purdue, Nancy met and married Robert Jack Hutchison. They were among the first couples that started Hurstbourne Christian Church in Louisville, KY. Robert and Nancy had three beautiful sons and shared 11 wonderful years together until he passed in 1973. Upon his passing, Nancy and her three sons moved to New Albany, IN, where she continued her education and obtained her Master&#39;s degree in Education. She served numerous school systems in the Kentuckiana area. Nancy is preceded in death by her first spouse Robert Jack Hutchison; parents Edgar George and Evelyn Nash Davis; siblings, Kent Nash Davis and Jefferey Allen Davis; and nephew, Clark B. Davis.</p> <p>Nancy is survived by her husband Joseph Brooks; sons, Paul Robert (Jennifer) Hutchison, Scott Andrew Hutchison, and Jeffrey Davis (Melissa) Hutchison; grandchildren, Morgan Beth (Seth) Hollabaugh, Elena Kristine (Zak) Green, Dara Joy (Jake) Scheeringa, Robert Paul Hutchison, Joel Ransom Hutchison, Elizabeth Lynn Hutchison, Luke Robert Hutchison, and Asa Jeffrey Hutchison; great-grandchildren, Archie and Theo Green.</p> <p>In her spare time, Nancy loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, and creative writing. Nancy dedicated her life to volunteering in numerous programs and organizations. She had a servant&#39;s heart and will be greatly missed by so many.</p> <p>Arrangements have been made at Scott&rsquo;s Funeral home on Veterans Parkway in Jeffersonville. Public visitation will be on Sunday August 7th from 12-4 pm. A public service will take place at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Home of the Innocents are appreciated (homeoftheinnocents.org).</p>
