<p>&nbsp;Funeral services for Mrs. Eleanor Odessa&nbsp;Paschall 88, of West Columbia, South Carolina will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM August 13, 2022 at Mount&nbsp;Pisgah AME&nbsp;&nbsp;Church 129 Dixiana Road West Columbia, South Carolina. Burial will follow on&nbsp;the Church Cemetery&nbsp;Fish Hatchery Road West Columbia, South Carolina. There will be a viewing on Friday from 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm at the Pearson&#39;s Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina.&nbsp; Mrs. Paschall was born March 9, 1934 in Dixiana, South Carolina, to&nbsp;the late Lucille J. Brunette and Ervin Dowdy. She was married to the late William Paschall, Sr., and&nbsp;was affectionately known as &quot;Cousin Eleanor&quot;. She&nbsp;transition from this life, Friday August 5, 2022 at the Lexington Extended Care. Cousin Eleanor was educated in the Lexington County Public Schools; and after high school graduation she attended Allen University. She moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,. and&nbsp;became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) after attending&nbsp;Nursing School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania .She worked at St. Luke Hospital of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for four years. She retired after 31 years of nursing services from Philadelphia General Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.&nbsp;Eleanor was&nbsp;raised in Mount. Pisgah&nbsp; AME, Church in Dixiana, South Carolina, until&nbsp;she moved to Pennsylvania.&nbsp;While living in Philadelphia, she was a member of Jones Tabernacle AME&nbsp;Church, where she served on the Choir. She later moved her membership to Temple of Devine. Love Church, where she was a member of the Usher Board and The Twelve&nbsp;Tribes of Israel. Upon moving back to Columbia, South Carolina, she restored her membership at Mount. Pisgah&nbsp; AME. Church. Eleanor dutifully served on the Missionary Society&nbsp;and was Chaplain for the Wide- Awake Club. Cousin Eleanor was&nbsp;&nbsp;preceded in death by her stepson, William Paschall, Jr. She&nbsp;leaves to cherish her memories a special cousin and loving care giver Deborah Chestnut of West Columbia,&nbsp;S.C., an&nbsp;uncle Frank Dowdy of Columbia, SC., cousins Kenneth Lebby of Columbia, S.C., and Gerald Lebby of West Columbia, S.C., and a host of many cousins and friends that will truly miss her.&nbsp;</p>
