Jack Daniel Higginbotham Obituary

Jack Daniel Higginbotham 43, born in Houston, Texas to Jackie Jr and Lillie Marie Land Higginbotham died on August 4, 2022 from doing what he did best…living life on the edge. If you knew Jack, he was a helper! He would help everybody, family, friend, neighbor, and even those he did not know. His family and close friends knew he came on his timing and never at the time he said or when you wanted him to show up but just like an owl, he always did his best work with a head lamp on. Jack had a way of doing work for his family and close friends that always involved multiple breaks even while completing the simplest of task, but you were guaranteed a good time. Jack excelled in cabinetry work and loved being challenged while working with his hands and mind since he was 18 starting with Austin Cabinets and still to this day he would fill in and help at the shop. Jack was a jack of all trades certified of none even though he did have certificates for most of the things he did. Ever since Jack was a kid, he lived a little on the wild side. He kept his mom in the hospital or yelling for him to get out of the trees or off the roof or to just sit for a moment. He frequented the hospital so much that they called CPS and while the lady was there Jack had to show her his new trick. That trick included him running through the front door, out the back door, up a tree, across the roof, flipping in the air, landing on his feet and completing the trick with a somersault off the table her and our mom were sitting at. The lady decided that was not a case for CPS and that Jack was simply a wild child. Jack’s craziness did not stop after childhood he continued as an adult always challenging the kids to do crazy tricks on ramps with bikes, flips off diving boards, trees and even the trampoline. In 2019, he forgot that he was 100 lbs heavier than the kids and they persuaded him to do flips on the ground and needless to say he gave our mom the best Mother’s Day gift ever! He was back to the hospital with a broken neck but did decide after that trick he had enough with the flips. He went back to riding crotch-rockets where he felt free from everything and the wind was able to blow across his bald head since it had already blew away all his hair. Jack had his last ride on August 3, 2022 which ultimately took his life while living on the edge but that is what made him who he was and the man that everybody loved so much. Yes, some of his life choices were not the best but that is what made him Jack Daniel. There will not be another guy like him. Jack never missed a beat with his quick come backs and jokes all while charming you with those big blue eyes. Jack leaves behind three sons, William Daniel Higginbotham and his mother, Tricia Power, Christian Wayne Kingston, and Milo Fields and his mother, Bianca Fields; before Jack had his boys he was daddy to Cory Harrison and Rachel Street and their mother, Carmen Burchfield; sisters, Mary Kingston and partner, Kevin, Kate Higginbotham and partner, Ted; brother from another mother, Pablo Saavedra and wife Mary; nieces and nephews, Anna and husband Timmy, Michael and wife Denise, Francesca and husband Emmanuel, Elizabeth and husband Alberto, Ashley, Whitney and husband Erik, Manuel and partner, Maleny, Elisa, Rosendo, Merideth and husband Jacques, ; many great nieces and nephews; his best friends, Shawn Gilliland, Shelby Painter and Chris Lloyd; and girlfriend, Tasha Tobias. Jack loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed greatly.
