Durham: Robert Armstead Lowder, 86, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 at his home. He was born in Norfork, VA, the son of the late Robert Rawleigh Lowder and Ruby Doyle Goodman Peeler. He was also preceded in death his brothers, Ramon Peeler, Jr., Blake Lowder, Roy W. Lowder, Sr.; and sister, Joan L. Smith. Mr. Lowder is survived by his friend, Dan Ashley; sister, Gail Peeler Greer Heath; sister-in-law, Carole Brady Lowder. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 7 at Clements Funeral Home in Durham. The family is being assisted by Clements Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. in Durham.
