William J. "Bud" Winsett

<p>William J. &ldquo;Bud&rdquo; Winsett age 77 of Paris died Friday, August 5, 2022, at his residence.</p> <p>Bud retired from Haldex after working in the maintenance department. He enjoyed working with horses, making leather goods, and attending the local country dances with Glenda. He could fix just about anything, and always had a project to work on. His family was very important to him, and he loved spending time with them. He had a love for animals and always made sure they were well fed and taken care of.</p> <p>Born January 1, 1945, in Camden, TN, he was the son of the late William Sherman &ldquo;Slick&rdquo; Winsett and the late Willie Mae Price Winsett.</p> <p>Survivors include his children, Misty (Russ) Swinney of Forney, TX, and Joel (Cathy Wood) Winsett of Jeffersonville, IN; his life partner of 17 years, Glenda Key of Paris; a brother, Don Winsett of Paris; a granddaughter Desiree Powell; 3 great grandchildren, Brantley Powell, Presley Powell, and Kinsley Powell; and a stepson, Jamie Mann of Paris.</p> <p>Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda French, and a grandson Jonny Powell.</p> <p>Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 7, 2022, from 4 until 7 pm, and continue Monday, August 8, 2022, after 10 am until the time of the service. His funeral service will be held, Monday, August 8, 2022, at 11 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home. His son in law, Rev. Russ Swinney will be officiating the service.</p> <p>Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Wyatt, Adam Taylor, John Conger, Glen French, Eddie Carson, James Matthew Wyatt, and Christopher Brandon. Named as honorary pallbearers are Jamie Mann and Gary Malin.</p> <p>Burial will follow the service in the VanDyke Grove Cemetery.</p> <p>Memorials may be made to the VanDyke Grove Cemetery c/o Mark Johnson 906 Greenvalley Dr., Paris, TN 38242.</p>

William J. “Bud” Winsett age 77 of Paris died Friday, August 5, 2022, at his residence.
