Elizabeth “Liz” L. Longden age 88, of Ashland, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 at The Inn at Ashland Woods. She was born May 18, 1934, the daughter of the late Howard and Zella (Grey) Householder. Liz had been a lifelong resident of Ashland and was a 1952 graduate of Ashland High School. She had been employed with National Latex for over 30 years. Liz was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed Puzzles, Playing lottery tickets and casino trips.

Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Larry and Terri Kane of Jeromesville; grandchildren, Ryan (Celsey) Kane of Nankin and Steven (Megan) Kane of Sunbury; great grandchildren, Marcus Kane, Leo Kane and Ellie Kane; along with her brothers, Robert (Becky) Householder, Duane (Cheryl) Householder, Dale (Rhonda) Householder and Kenny (Darlene) Householder.

In addition to her parents, Liz was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Howard D. Kane in 1977, her 2nd husband, Homer E. Longden in 2009; an infant daughter, Mary Ann Kane; 5 brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at Heyl Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Don Earlenbaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Rowsburg Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Liz’s memory to Hospice of North Central Ohio 1050 Dauch Dr. Ashland, Ohio 44805. Online condolences may be left for the family.
