Ella J. Myers Obituary

Ella J. Myers, 85, of Fostoria, passed away on Friday August 5, 2022 at her home. She was born on June 25, 1937 in Cherry Grove, West Virginia to the late Zella and Mattie Mae (Vandevander) Lambert. She married Rev. Paul E. Myers on December 28, 1957 at the Fostoria Church of the Brethren and he survives in Fostoria. Also surviving are three children, Cheryl Myers-Loo, Tamarac, Florida, Aaron (Heather) Myers, Tampa, Florida and Brenda (Del) Henderson, Delaware, Ohio; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Thurman Lambert, Baltimore, Maryland, Odell Lambert, Sugar Grove, West Virginia and Robert Lambert, Monterey, Virginia. She was also preceded in death by seven siblings, Roberta Warner, Hazel Bressler, Zella Lambert, Jr., Lillian Bragg, Lester Lambert, Agnes Veach and Jerry Lambert. Ella graduated high school in Keyser, West Virginia and was a Certified Nursing Assistant and licensed beautician. She enjoyed painting and cleaning for churches, helping others and spending time with family. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday August 9, 2022 and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. on Wednesday August 10, 2022 at Hoening & Son Funeral Home, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830. The funeral service is 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Ella’s husband Rev. Paul E. Myers, presiding. The committal service and burial will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery in Arcadia. A luncheon and gathering will then take place back at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice, a church of your choice or the Fostoria Flag Fund c/o the funeral home. >
